Forged in a share house home-studio Melbourne’s eastern suburbs over two years of COVID-19 lockdown, Playlunch is the brainchild and passion project of Liam Bell. Creating a cocktail of late ‘90s and early 2000s Aussie nostalgia, and taking inspiration from retro dance music icons, Playlunch is pioneering a new flavor of bangers altogether: ‘Bogan Funk’.

The seven-piece band, who gained international notoriety with their viral hit “Keith” and have built a fast-growing fanbase, are taking their raucous live show across North America this summer in support of their smash sophomore LP Sex Ed. From Vancouver and Los Angeles on the west coast to New York and D.C. on the east, there are plenty of opportunities to catch songs like “Boys” and “Station Rat” live and in person, along with those from their debut, Who’s Ready for a Good Time?.

Putting a huge focus on touring and bringing their comedic, yet serious live show to the people, the band have become a staple across the Australian Festival circuit with slots at NYE on the Hill (VIC), Party in the Paddock (TAS), St Kilda Festival (VIC), Offbeat Music Festival (QLD), Good Gumnuts Festival (TAS) & many more under their belts.
