Matt Emrick
President

A graduate of West Virginia University’s Reed School of Media and Communications, Matt Emrick spent the first ten years of his career as a public librarian before trekking to Los Angeles in search of sunnier skies, and opening a thriving holistic pet supply store.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt is an avid enthusiast of pop music, camp cinema, and the dynamic Los Angeles food scene. When he’s not hiking Runyon Canyon with his golden retriever, enjoying dinner out with his husband or friends, or making the most of his AMC membership, he can probably be found vegging out at his home in West Hollywood, binge-watching old episodes of Parks and Recreation.

Vibe On Records was founded in 2015 with a mission to reissue classic and forgotten pop records on expanded CD packages, self-releasing multiple titles, including albums by La Toya Jackson and Cher, while also consulting on projects by Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Jermaine Jackson, Taylor Dayne, and more.

After an extended hiatus, Vibe On relaunched in 2025 with reissues of three albums by La Toya Jackson as well as our first home video release. We worked directly with La Toya’s team to create exclusive merch for her two-night engagement at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood – all of which sold out before the end of the second night!

After seeing fans’ reaction to La Toya’s live show, we decided we want to do more than just reissue albums. Alongside our next reissue – Charo & The Salsoul Orchestra’s legendary album Cuchi-Cuchi – we packed Catalina Jazz Club with Charo fans and invited Charo to sit down and unpack her life, career, and landmark debut album for the first time ever!

The success of Cuchi-Cuchi: An Evening with Charo led to an ongoing partnership, which will see Vibe On reissue more of Charo’s stunning catalog and produce her first range of official merchandise in over three decades.

Most recently, we announced our latest project: the 25th anniversary release of Princess Superstar’s breakout album, Princess Superstar Is, will be hitting turntables in February 2026, with more live events on the way.

Over a decade later, Vibe On is still on a mission to resurrect forgotten pop gems, restore and expand upon their original creative direction, and bring long-lost titles back into the spotlight, giving them the second chance they deserve.
